Elli's voice begins her ride, “My name is Elli, known to some as Ellnaz, Elle-Bella, and Elli Belli to others. I am an 11-year old girl. My teachers know me as a very mature, bright, witty, serious, and mystical girl. Some have called me precocious. My Maadar (Mother) sees me as a very old soul mostly because I have been wise beyond my years. She probably felt my wisdom in my desire to spend my time with older souls who are real, honest and fun rather than those who whine, brood, or make no sense at all…”

Elli's adventures with Naaz-e-Jaan, her spirit totem elephant, take them through far off ancient mystical realms as she learns to embrace life and honor death. These tales become love letters that she places in her mother's heart pocket in the hopes of comforting her.
